Juvenile delinquency: An offense committed by a child who is between 7 and 15 years old. All juvenile delinquency cases are heard in family courts. It is not treated the same as adults (Juvenile Justice Process, 2016) 2. Minors: In most states, minors are defined as individuals who are below 18 years old.
